MEET THE HOST

I began dancing at the age of 5 and have not stopped dancing since. I danced hip hop for several years, participating in various Montreal dance festivals and shows. Competing in regional cheerleading competitions, winning silver and gold medals was an amazing and unforgettable experience in performance, execution, sisterhood and discipline. But there was something special about cultural dances that drew me in from the get go. I had been fortunate enough to travel locally and overseas to dance, teach, and perform Filipino cultural dances for more than 10 years. I studied and performed West African drum and dance while living in Victoria, British Columbia and was fortunate to have travelled to Guinea to further my training and knowledge. I have always been fascinated with cultural dances from around the world and especially the beautiful dances of Polynesia. I have been lucky to learn from five different Polynesian dance teachers and masters from Montreal and Vancouver to Moorea and Tahiti. I am passionate about sharing the beauty and culture of Hawaii and the Polynesian islands through dance and music and I invite you to join me and move together!
